UNITEA
Tea is one of the world’s most fascinating products — carrying history, tradition, and culture through something so small and everyday. With countless variations found across the globe, tea itself became the inspiration behind UNITEA.

UNITEA is a playful and interactive reinterpretation of the classic tea packaging experience, combining calming minimalism with hand-drawn decorative elements inspired by different cultures. The result is a thoughtful and visually engaging design created to celebrate both the ritual and diversity of tea drinking.

When developing the product I embraced the ideation process; letting all possible directions and thoughts get a place in my sketch book. This ensured that when I did finalise my design, it would be the right one.

Prototypes developed to visualise the final product

The packaging consists of four pyramid-shaped units coming together as one — symbolising the way people gather and connect over a shared cup of tea. When unfolded, the structure transforms into a display that highlights and celebrates the diversity of the blend.

At its core, UNITEA is a love letter to tea and the stories it carries.

I fleshed out the project by designing collateral based on a customer journey map

To taste is to travel. This idea is reflected in the flexible nature of the design, created to be as diverse and adaptable as the world of tea itself.

Creating UNITEA taught me the importance of well-thought-out design. The entire process was based on design thinking; following the phases of empathise, define, ideate, prototype and test. This helped me make thoughtful design decisions with my target audience always in mind, resulting in a brand and packaging design that not only works, but truly connects with the people it was created for.
